Famous Celebs that Have a Huge Interest in Wine
Have you been hitting the wine tasting rooms lately? If so, keep your eyes open because you just never know who you might run into. Mike D from the Beastie Boys is a huge wine buff. He began his interview with Food & Wine stating, “There’s something that fires when your taste buds are dazzled in a certain way with wine that is almost beyond words.” Mike D enjoys learning all he can about wine, and he isn’t the only celeb who is passionate about fermented grapes.
Celebrity wine tastes have led to several celebrity owned vineyards and wine tasting rooms. Here are two more examples to start your Tasting List.
Fattoria Le Terrazze. This family-run winery has been operating since 1882 but was purchased by Bob Dylan, where they made a signature wine, Planet Waves, named after his 1974 album.
Jeff Gordon Collection. Not all NASCAR drivers drink beer. Jeff Gordon has shown the world that you can be a professional stock car racing driver and have a highly attuned palate. He teamed up with two wine makers and used grapes from Sonoma and Napa to produce well-reviewed, high-quality wines.
