Boost Your Endurance Before Oyster_The Race
Oysters may be soft on the inside but tough exterior shells keep them anchored through the most violent of storms. If you’re about to weather Oyster_The Race, it’s time to toughen up your interior mojo, as well as your exterior physique, in order to boost your endurance and propel your team towards the finish line.
Here are tips to boost endurance.
Adaptability. Boosting endurance relies on building endurance. It’s a process. Practice patience and persistence so your body can adapt little by little.
Multi-task. Most fitness gurus spend one day on cardio, the next on strength training, etc. However, to build the endurance you’ll need for Oyster, we recommend combining them. Consider using a local fitness trail so you can easily intersperse pull-ups, push-ups, and sit-ups as you run.
Breaks are for sissies. Rest? What rest? Pshaw! Forget incorporating those wussy “resting periods” in to your workout. Try to rest as little as possible before beginning the next task. (Note: Monitor your target heart rate and DO rest if you feel overextended, or your body feels like it just can’t continue).
Time’s a wastin,’ Oysters! Keep checking our blog for more Oyster_The Race tips. Now, get out there with your team and crack the whip.
